Would you like to know more?
Presentations about the Future of Education in the West River Valley
The committee members of the Act 46 Leland and Gray Towns invite any local group, club or organization in Brookline,Jamaica,Newfane, Towshend and Windham to host a short, informative presentation about the Report and Articles of Agreement. The presentation is informal, and people may ask questions about the Report, the Articles of Agreement, the ballot which they will see in March 2017 at Town Meeting Day, and also discuss the impact on their town if the voters choose Yes or No when it comes time to vote on the consolidation of school governance. The WCSU Leland & Gray Towns Act 46 Committee is comprised of volunteers from these communities. They are charged with determining an educational structure that will further enhance the educational outcomes for students in their towns. Vermont's Act 46 encourages school districts to unify separate governance structures into one system. When the Study Committee's report is completed, it will be presented to the voters in each town for a decision on Town Meeting Day, March, 2017.
